In the first two chapters I have learned that this story is based in 16th century England. The plot is about a boy(Peter) maybe my age, running away from Sir Phillips (a knight or a noble.) This is because Peter threw a rock at Sir Phillips(that missed) and left his hat with his name on it at the scene. This all happened during the night when the men wanted to tear down a wall Sir Phillips built. Peter is then forced to leave the country because it is no longer safe for him and he is now a fugitive running from Sir Phillip and his army.
I think Peter must really hate Sir Phillips because I personally wouldn't blow my cover just to throw a rock at a person and risk myself of getting shot. I also thought the pressure on Peter was really harsh, because Peter was the only one the army has any evidence against and if Peter gets caught he will probably get tortured until he reveals the name of all the other people that participated in the destruction of the wall. I think that making a teenager move to a different country alone with only about $50 is scary. I could never imagine myself moving to a different country alone for a few months. I don't like Sir Phillips because of his tyrannical way of ruling. He is taking something that belonged to the people and keeping it all for himself. I thought the people taking back the land Sir Phillips took away was justified and they shouldn't be punished for it.
Great job Brendon!
ReplyDeleteI think it could be even better if you added more thoughts and examples.
